Baleine

A three-phase deepwater development offshore Côte d’Ivoire

Producing / Expansion

Project Overview

Baleine lies in the CI-101 and CI-802 blocks offshore Côte d’Ivoire and is operated by Eni. Current interests following completed transactions are Eni 47.25%, Vitol 30% and Petroci 22.75%. The field is being developed in three phases: Phases 1 and 2 are producing, while Phase 3 reached final investment decision in May 2026 and is in execution.

Phase 1 achieved first oil in August 2023. Phase 2 started production on 28 December 2024, lifting field output to approximately 60,000 barrels of oil per day and 70 MMscf of gas per day. Following Phase 3, the field is targeted to produce 150,000 barrels of oil per day and 200 MMscf of gas per day. All produced gas is supplied to Côte d’Ivoire’s domestic market.
