Seatrium Wins S$200 Million-Plus FPSO Integration Contract from SBM Offshore

Seatrium has secured an FPSO integration contract worth more than S$200 million from SBM Offshore, covering support structures, vessel modification, drydocking, topside integration and commissioning support.

Seatrium announced on 30 October that it has secured a floating production, storage and offloading (FPSO) integration contract worth more than S$200 million from SBM Offshore. The vessel will support an offshore development in South America, although the FPSO name, end operator and deployment project have not been disclosed.

Seatrium’s scope covers fabrication of mooring and riser support structures, a flare tower and associated topside support structures. It will also carry out vessel modification and drydocking work and integrate the topside modules. The contract further includes mechanical completion, selected pre-commissioning activities and support for commissioning and sea trials.

Work is scheduled to begin in the fourth quarter of 2026 and finish in 2029. The value of more than S$200 million relates to Seatrium’s yard fabrication, modification and integration package, not the total value of the complete FPSO. SBM Offshore remains the client and overall floating production solutions provider.

Seatrium and SBM Offshore have worked together on multiple FPSOs. In 2024, Seatrium received the topsides fabrication and integration contract for FPSO Jaguar. That scope included several topside modules and riser, mooring and umbilical support structures, followed by installation, integration and commissioning support. Jaguar is being built for the Whiptail development in Guyana’s Stabroek Block.

The new award follows a similar division of work, with SBM Offshore managing overall FPSO delivery and Seatrium carrying out yard integration. As the announcement does not identify the project, currently available information is insufficient to link the contract to Longtail, P-87 or another specific FPSO.
