PROJECT PROFILE

Congo LNG

A two-phase floating-LNG development system

In production

Project Overview

Congo LNG develops the Nené and Litchendjili fields in the Republic of the Congo’s Marine XII permit through two floating-LNG phases. Eni is the operator. Phase 1 entered operation at the end of 2023, Phase 2 was launched early in December 2025, and Nguya FLNG exported its first LNG cargo in February 2026. Combined capacity is 3 million tonnes of LNG per year, equivalent to about 4.5 billion cubic metres of gas annually.
