QMW is a 50/50 joint venture between J. Ray McDermott (Qingdao) Pte. Ltd. and Wuhan Wuchuan Investment Holding Co., Ltd. Its Qingdao yard provides project management, engineering, procurement, fabrication, construction and pre-commissioning for offshore and onshore energy structures.

The current yard profile lists about 60 hectares of total area, annual throughput up to 90,000 tonnes, a 300-metre skidway with 50,000-tonne loadout capacity, and a 210,000 m² core erection area.
