Project Overview

Liza Phase 2 is the second offshore development in the Stabroek Block and is operated by ExxonMobil Guyana Limited. Stabroek interests are ExxonMobil Guyana 45%, Hess Guyana 30% and CNOOC Petroleum Guyana 25%. The development achieved first oil through the Liza Unity FPSO on 11 February 2022.

FPSO and Engineering Scope

Liza Unity uses SBM Offshore’s first newbuild Fast4Ward MPF hull and has design oil-processing capacity of 220,000 barrels per day and storage of approximately 2 million barrels. Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding built the hull; Keppel O&M fabricated modules and support structures and completed integration. Saipem delivered SURF EPCI, while TechnipFMC supplied the subsea production system. ExxonMobil Guyana acquired the FPSO in November 2023, and SBM Offshore continues O&M through 2033.
